Tribute to Andrea Rider, 1968 - 2026

My darling mother in law. Thank you for making me feel so welcome in your family from the first day you met me and for taking on my son as your very own grandchild without question. You were not just my mother in law, but my friend. I will miss putting the world to rights with you, our many rants together about certain people and things, connecting over our love for musicals particularly the greatest showman, Queen and Ed Sheeran. When you would tell me that you were so happy Joe married me I would feel so happy that you saw me that way and thought that of me. You truly were a ray of sunshine, always making us laugh. You made us so proud this past year and we are devastated we won’t be able to enjoy all the plans we made with you while you had a new found love for life. Sleep tight beautiful Andrea, thank you for being such a good friend to me. Love you millions. Xxx

Andrea you crazy fun loving friend who loved ice-cream,we were making so many plans now you were free and loving church. Our weekend away will have to wait now..I miss your daily phone calls and us putting the world to rights! To say im heartbroken is not enough, I miss you andy, im still waiting for the phone to ring... sleep well darling you deserve a rest. Sing hosanna was your favourite song from school. I will never forget you singing that to me on the phone the other day. Love you 💔

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
